Weekly Photo - 14, 15 and 16

When they say time flies....they mean it!  I can't believe I have three weeks worth of Weekly Photos to post.  I originally wanted to retake Week 14 because it came out blurry...but before I could it was already Week 15.  So then I was just going to go with it and post Week 14 and 15 together......I don't know how in the world it is already Week 16.  Somehow... here we are Week 16!  She is just as cute as ever!  At least I think so!

Week 15

Week 16 - I had to choose this picture...because this was the first night she slept in her crib.  Her nursery isn't even CLOSE to being finished yet.  We still have a lot of work to it...but good thing for us, Emily doesn't know any better.  She knows she has a comfy bed to lay on and she fell right to sleep.  Side Note: I can't tell you how much I love this bedding set!!  Below is a picture of the crib and bedding set.

Wednesday Weigh In - Week 5

Week 4 Rundown:
Week 4 was pretty good.  Still haven't really varied from my diet plan.  We went to IKEA this past weekend.  It was my very first trip EVER to IKEA.  I loved it.  My loved all of the different lighting options, the frames and the storage canisters.  I am sure it will be no surprise to those of you who HAVE been to IKEA before, but we spent 4 hours walking around.  I considered IKEA one of my workouts this week.

Week 4 Results:
Lost 3.6 lbs!  Woohoo!

Wednesday Weigh In - Week 5
**9.2 lbs lighter (overall) - I am so thrilled.  I know you can't see a difference yet... but 9.2 pounds in a month is a great start!
**Emily weighed in at 10 lbs.  I still don't think that can be right!  She is now literally 4 TIMES the size she was when she was born.
My Week 5 Goals:
**Eat wisely
**Go to the gym 3 times
**Drink 3 bottles of water a day

Emily's Week 5 Goals:
**Sleep in my new crib
**Celebrate my first 4th of July
**Go swimming

Father's Day 2011

Sunday was of course Father's Day.  What a day!  I was honored to be able to celebrate with the most important men in my life.

We celebrated David's 1st Father's Day.  This has been the best year of our lives.  He is just as great of a Daddy as I always knew he would be.  There is no doubt that Emily is a "Daddy's Girl" through and through.  We have talked about how true it is about your world changing the moment you become a parent.  Our love for her grows every day!

Onto my own Daddy!  My dad and I have never been closer.  This has been the worst year of our lives and through it all he has been gentle, strong and vulnerable all at the same time.  I love how active he has been in my life and how much he adores Emily.  I am so blessed to call him Dad.

I can't wait to celebrate them again next year!!

Here is a recap in of our Father's Day weekend:

After going to the movies to see the Green Lantern, Dad, Jason, David, Emily and I went to Bobby Q's.  It was delicious.

Sunday morning Dad, David, Emily and I went to Church.  We go to Radiant Church in Surprise and LOVE IT!!!  I have never connected with a church so much!

Radiant was hosting a Father's Day Carshow.  So after church we walked around and looked at cars.  Emily entertained herself by licking her blanket.  Not sure what that's about...but I thought it was amusing.

Then we all went over to Dad's house for a cookout.  Emily got a chance to cuddle with Uncle J.
I think Ted thought if he acted obnoxious every time I tried to take a picture of him, that I wouldn't actually post it.  Ooops!  The shirt he is wearing was my mom's favorite of his.  She called it his "pumpkin shirt".
This is Reggie.  He recently went to the groomers..they went a little overboard.  His fur has never been so short, especially on his face and tail.  He looks like a completely different puppy to us.  Still cute though!
Emily's first Father's Day gifts to her Daddy.  I didn't have any wrapping paper, so I printed out some "Pattern Pieces" I fell in love with on Sprik Space's Blog and wrapped it up.  I thought they came out cute.
Emily watched her Daddy intently as he read the card to her.
Whew! What an exhausting day of cute-ness, cuddles and cars.  The princess took a little nap before we headed home.

Wednesday Weigh In - Week 4

I know it is Thursday, but I really did weigh in yesterday.  I just didn't get a chance to take a photo, then thought I would do it last night...I completely forgot to take it until this morning.  Then to top it off it is really blurry.  Someone I know needs to work on their photo taking skills (not going to mention names or anything).  So I guess better late and blurry than never, right?

Week 3 Rundown:
Week 3 was not my best, but honestly not my worst.  I only made it to the gym once and splurged on Saturday night when we went out to Bobby Q's (one of my favorite places ever).  Also it is headache season for me.  I had a couple of bad headaches this past week... but with those excuses behind me, I am looking forward to regrouping and getting back on track this week.

Week 3 Results:
No change.  I weighed in exactly the same as last week.

Wednesday Weigh In - Week 4
**Still 5.6 lbs lighter (overall)
**Emily weighed in at 9 lbs even.  I can't believe it!  She is my little "chunky" baby.  Just kidding...but she is really filling out!

Emily did way better than me at reaching her Week 3 Goals. She went swimming in her new bathing suit.  The suit is still a little too big even though it is a 0-3 month.  She LOVES the water!
She FINALLY got to meet Auntie Linda!  It was heart warming to witness this meeting.  Lots of love!
My Week 4 Goals:
**Eat wisely
**Go to the gym 3 times
**Drink 3 bottles of water a day

Emily's Week 4 Goals:
**Go on a date with Grandpa
**Hang out with other babies my age at church
**Send pictures to Nana Martha!

I'm a WINNER!

I am newer to the blogging world...and am obsessed with craft blogs.  I am just in awe at the talent so many of these women have and definitely jealous by how easy they make it look.  These crafty bloggers have definitely been an inspiration to me to try turn my house into a "handmade home".  I can't wait to get started!.... and to help me get started I have entered some giveaways given by the craft bloggers I follow.  There are a lot of giveaway opportunities and I just happened to win THREE different prizes.  I am so excited!  I can't wait to get my prizes!

Here's what I have won:

This is from My So Cal Creations that I won on Living Craftily Ever After.  I won it from THIS giveaway!

I won ALL of these items from A Diamond In The Stuff who was celebrating hitting 1,000 Followers.  She celebrated by THIS giveaway.  She included some of her favorite craft supplies!  I can't wait to play with these products.  I am only starting to attempt craft projects and these will really come in handy!

Another fabulous blogger, Funky Polkadot Giraffe celebrated reaching 1,000 Followers by a week long of giveaways.  She had great vendors sponsoring her giveaways (I entered all of them!) I won THIS giveaway sponsored by Paint Me A Picture.  So I get a $15 credit to her shop.  I still can't decide which painting I am going to get.  I am probably going to choose from one of the above three.  Any of them would be a great addition to my craft space (when I get a craft space!)

Wednesday Weigh In - Week 3

Week 2 Rundown:
This week went well.  I only made it to the gym twice but over the weekend we did a lot of walking..so I am counting it.  When I did go to the gym I worked out on the elliptical and was able to do a little more each time I went.  I did good at drinking water and eating well.  When we went out I was very conscious of what I was ordering and am very happy with all of the choices I made.  I feel really good about my progress.

Weekly Photo - 13

I love her!  13 weeks and I couldn't imagine life without her.  I chose this one because it looks like she is waving.

Emily - 3 Months

My sweet baby girl turned THREE months old yesterday!

Weight: 8lbs, 1 oz
Length: 19 in
Sleeping Habits:  Sleeps great during the day....Nights are a different story.  Some nights are better than others.
Eating Habits:  She eats anywhere from 2-4oz every 2-3 hours.
Funny Habits:  When her binky falls out of her mouth and she can't quite get it back in by herself...she will settle for licking it.  It is hilarious to watch. - She snorts when she cries.  It is so cute!
Likes:  She loves her boppy and her Binky of course!  She also loves baths and snuggling!
Dislikes:  Being dressed and/or undressed.  She is not a huge fan of getting her diaper changed.... I guess that is a form of being dressed and undressed.

It has only been a few short (and long) months and I am already amazed when I look back at how small she really was and how far she has come.  See for yourself!

She started out at 2lbs, 8 oz!  All of the above pictures were taken by my sweet friend (and obviously amazing photographer) Christy Goetz
Her first binky.  It is a special preemie binky.
The two pictures above are when she is a few days old.  This was the very first time I was allowed to hold her.  I can honestly say this is the most cherished moment of my entire life.
She was on photo therapy for a few days after she was born.  The nurses called these her "Catwoman" glasses.

This was the day the "switch" was made.  From the preemie binky to the newborn binky!  She looks so cute holding her binky.
Her first bath!!!  Also now you can see how big that binky is compared to her face.  I laugh every time I see this picture.
Awwww....Auntie Barbie!
She loves her Uncle Teddy!
Auntie Kristin came down from Colorado to visit.
I had to include this one.  I love how they look like they are just sharing a moment.
She found a finger!! It was so adorable!
This one is still one of my favorites of her!
YAY!  She finally gets to come home!  And just when I thought she was looking so "big" (at 4lbs, 8oz) we put her in the car seat and I was quickly reminded of how small she still is.  But how cute is she!?
She loves her Uncle Jason too!
David's sister and her family sent Emily a ton of presents.  I love how cute they are all wrapped.  We just had to put Ems in front and take a picture.
One of her first baths at home!
Enjoying some time snuggle with Ms Sharon!
She just stared at me the entire time I read to her.  She loves story time.
She found her thumb!  It was not a graceful event but you don't need to be graceful when you are that cute!
Angel and Ems enjoying some outdoor time.
Happy 3 Month Birthday Ems!  You are more amazing than I ever dreamed you would be.
